Early Years
Ages 5 to 6
Learning through stories, songs, counting games and outdoor play. Children learn to read their first words and make friends.
Brightwater Primary teaches children aged 5 to 11 in small classes, with caring teachers and plenty of time to play, read and ask why.
We opened in 1994 with three classrooms and a mango tree. Today we have twelve classrooms, a library, a science corner and a playing field, and the mango tree is still where we hold story time.
Our teachers focus on reading, number sense and good habits first. Then we build curiosity, kindness and confidence on top.
Three stages, each with its own teachers and its own pace.
